Whole of Hollywood now Blu

The Hollywood Reporter has received an exclusive statement from Paramount Home Entertainment on their stance as the definitive end of the high-def disc format war is now in sight.
Paramount, who surprised the industry last summer by announcing that it, as well as sister studio DreamWorks, would only put out films on the HD DVD format, had not made a public statement since Toshiba discontinued the HD DVD format.
But the statement now issued said: "We are pleased that the industry is moving to a single high-definition format, as we believe it is in the best interest of the consumer".
"As we look to (begin) releasing our titles on Blu-ray, we will monitor consumer adoption and determine our release plans accordingly."
This means that all six major Hollywood films studios are now committed to producing films on Blu-ray, the now indisputable next-gen high-def disc format.
