Creative to launch Zen "Share"

Rumours see Wi-Fi-enabled MP3 player coming soon

An unofficial Creative blogger has revealed some interesting information about a rumoured near-future product from the Singapore-based audio company.

According to "insiders" the name of Creative's next MP3 player will the the "Zen Share".

With Creative's expertise in speakers, and their love of adding them to products that you wouldn't even think they'd fit (such as the new Stones) you'd be forgiven for thinking that was the logic behind the "Share" moniker, but it's apparently to do with wireless file transfer.

The sources suggest "Creative is creating some form of Wi-Fi sharing, that's likely similar to what Microsoft is doing with the Zune", but better presumably.

Apparently due on the market in May/June, an announcement at the German CeBIT tech show - happening early-March - is not out of the question. We'll keep you informed.
