Angry Birds Transformers to set Autobirds and Deceptihogs loose

Angry Birds, not satisfied with conquering space in Angry Birds Star Wars, is branching out into the robotic world of Transformers. Get ready for the arrival of Angry Birds Transformers.

The Angry Bird Transformers will appear on a mobile game that has just been announced by Angry Birds creator Rovio. It will see Autobirds taking up arms against the dastardly Deceptihogs.

A new Angry Birds means new Telepod toys which will have QR-codes that can be scanned into the game.

Rovio has been trying plenty of new things with Angry Birds incuding the Star Wars characters, a racing game and its very first RPG. Later this year it plans to release girl-focused Angry Birds Stella.

"We’re really excited to combine the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds," said Blanca Juti, chief marketing officer of Rovio. "This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!"
