Sky Go to get live World Cup matches as ITV signs up to service
Sky has signed ITV's channels for inclusion in its Sky Go application, which introduces live World Cup matches to the mix.
As ITV has half the terrestrial TV rights to the live matches throughout the tournament in Brazil, Sky Go users will be able to watch them through app itself.
ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV all join the Sky Go channel line-up, and ITV Encore - the broadcaster's new drama channel - will be added when it launches on 9 June.
It is an exclusive channel for Sky customers, whether watching on Sky Go or the company's TV service, and will show all episodes of some of ITV's most loved dramas, including Whitechapel and Broadchurch.
It will also include catch-up TV and box-sets of entire series on demand for viewing on Sky Go.
On demand content from the other ITV channels will join the Sky Go service later in 2014.
Sky Go is available on a large selection of Android smartphones and tablets, and iOS devices. It is a free service for Sky TV customers, with a Sky Go Extra subscription available to bolt on in order to add more devices to a Sky iD and offline viewing for £5 a month.
