Users of of the CoPilot Live mobile phone navigation system will be now able to benefit from a connection to Microsoft's Live Search services.By keying in a search query into a free-text input box, such as "bank", "coffee" or brand name, a list of the matches closest to the current location is displayed.
CoPilot Live sends queries to Microsoft's Live Search API via the mobile internet, providing navigation users with instant access to a vast quantity of location-specific information.
Search results provide details of nearby businesses, shops, restaurants, and leisure facilities, which can be previewed and added to an itinerary for spoken and on-screen turn guidance.
This new service will be available from April and will be included as part of the new CoPilot 7. Anyone who has bought CPL7 before this date will be able to download an update so they can get this new application too.
