Leak reveals new Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A variant with Snapdragon 805, 2K display, 3 GB RAM, and more

Samsung might unveil a newer, more powerful version of the Galaxy S5, it's claimed.

According to GSMinsider, which spotted an unannounced Samsung smartphone called the Galaxy S5 LTE-A listed on a price checking website in Hong Kong, the upgraded Galaxy S5 smartphone will have the model number SM-G906S and a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The smartphone's updated specs include a 5.1-inch display with a 2560x1440-pixel resolution, Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, and 3 GB of RAM. That means it would get a display resolution boost to 2K and a 1GB increase in RAM. It'll also be the first phone to sport the 805 chip.

Other specs listed on the price checking website include the same camera specs found in the Galaxy S5 as well as WI-Fi, USB, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS connectivity features. The network modes include GSM, HSDPA, and LTE-Advanced. There's also mention of MicroSD support up to 128GB.
