Website of the day: The Key of Awesome

It's Friday. The sun is shining (mostly) and so we're giving you something to make the day fly by, so that you can get on with your weekend.

Pop music parodies are ten a penny on the various video sharing sites, but few go to the lengths of the ones you'll find at thekeyofawesome.com. These are a cut above most, simply because of the production values and attention to detail. They take hits from all genres and rewrite them, with some considerable skill, to produce mini-masterpieces that poke gentle fun at the music business and the world at large.

Our favourites are the Maroon 5 Moves Like Jagger and Macklemore’s Thrift Shop, but that's only because we haven't got though them all yet. They particularly savour the rap and hip hop tracks (possibly because they're often asking to be satirised) but nobody escapes their scathing treatment. They do occasional stray into territory your grandmother wouldn't necessary think was appropriate, so be warned if you are of a delicate disposition.

Happy Friday everybody. Enjoy your weekend.
