So, we got through April Fool's Day relatively unscathed, but the risk of posting his one yesterday, when we really wanted to, was just too much. We want it to be take seriously, because it's such a good idea.

Being the beginning of April, it's officially marathon season, and still one of the biggest on the planet is the one in London. Runners are now less than two weeks away from hitting the streets of the UK's capital, and this is often the hardest part of any training regime.

The miles have been clocked up, the trainers have been worn out, the energy bars have been consumed by the handful. The big day is starting to feel very real. Most people will be running for charity and it's this side of things that, from Virgin Money, is focussing on.

It's full of tips, tools and tales from other runners to make the next couple of weeks the most effective when it comes to keeping motivated and keeping the sponsorship coming. Add to their timeline to share your progress and ideas too. Those of us here who've done fundraising challenges reckon it's a great idea.

And that's no joke.
