Apple has released an update for Leopard users today offering general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

The download, version 10.5.2, which weighs in at a massive 180MB is recommended for all users running Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.5.1 Leopard.

According to Apple, the update delivers several improvements for both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs (as well as improvements provided in the Mac OS X 10.5.1 update) and range from Active Directory to Time Machine.

Following on from user complaints on forums around the world, Apple seems to have addressed these with three new fixes for AirPort users.

The software update also includes revisions to Apple Dock interface: Stacks with a List view option, a Folder view option, and an updated background for Grid view.

iCal, iChat, iSync, Finder, Mail, Networking, Preview, Printing, RAW Image, Safari, Login and Setup Assistant, System and Time Machine all get major fixes and improvements.
