TomTom has added some fun extras to their online content-sharing services that will let GO device owners customise their satnavs.

The industry's first content-sharing platform will let users download, upload and share a content with other users easily and for free.

The downloads range from from personalised car graphics to funny voices. Content available now is personalised images, vehicle icons, warning sounds, funny voices, colour schemes as well as map overlays, points of interest and routes.

Available now on the latest version of TomTom HOME, users need to connect their device to their computer, launch TomTom HOME and select the type of content that interests them.

Within each area, the user will see a list of content supplied either by TomTom, a third party or individual TomTom customers. They then need to click on the "add" button to install the content onto their TomTom device.

To upload and share content, users fill in a short description of the content and can then transfer the item from their device to TomTom HOME.
