Parrot has launched a new edition of its portable digital speakers: the Parrot Party "Black Edition".

In addition to "a trendier look" with its black body, it is even more portable with the built-in rechargable battery offering 8 hours of juice - doubling the previous capacity.

Another new feature is that it is also capable of reproducing the music stored on a Mac (the new Mac OS X Leopard features built-in Bluetooth stereo).

The Party is compatible with all Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) phones and PCs and features a built-in Class-D amplifier, two drivers with a total power output of 6 watts and exclusive audio effects developed by Parrot.

The Parrot Party Black Edition will be available in Q2 2008 from Parrot retailers for 99 euros (about £75) so will likely be on sale for the same £79.99 price point as the previous model.
