Facebook Pages get streamlined look in new redesign

Facebook has rolled out an update to Pages, aiming to help users find important information more easily on the public profiles for groups and businesses.

The "streamlined look" brings an updated timeline design. The right-side column of Pages show new posts in chronological order, and the left-side column shows important information about the group or businesses, including a map, hours of business, phone number and website URL, as well as photos and videos.

The new design follows an effort from Facebook to clean up its design site-wide. Just last week, the social network rolled out an updated News Feed design, including a clearer design presenting information more effectively. That now extends to Pages, as well.

Facebook has also updated tools for administrators of Pages. No matter where you are on your Page, you can now view information about the ads you're running and new likes on your Page, as well unread notifications and messages. You no longer have to go into a special settings window to make changes.

Last, Facebook has launched a Pages to Watch functionality. It will allow Pages administrators to create a list of Pages similar to their own and compare the performance of their Page with other businesses around.
