Website of the day: Brain Pickings
Now, here's an interesting thing. In fact, here's a whole pile of interesting things. Because at brainpickings.org, they have one goal: to seek out "interestingness" and bring it to the fore, from wherever it might lie.
It's an eclectic collection of articles and features from across the web, that they describe as "a cross-disciplinary LEGO treasure chest, full of pieces spanning art, design, science, technology, philosophy, history, politics, psychology, sociology, ecology, anthropology, and more…"
It's a wonderful description, and we reckon their weekly digest is something that anybody should add to their inbox if they're a seeker of knowledge and inspiration.
Current pieces include Richard Feynman on the physics of the humble rubber band and an essential reading list from the futurist Stewart Brand.
This is intellectually provocative stuff made very accessible, and we reckon it's a great way to add some weight to your weekly email diet.
