The HTC Shift combines the Windows Vista platform with Microsoft's new Origami Experience 2.0 delivering 3G/HSDPA connectivity that features "true push" email as well as up to 3 days of battery life.The Origami Experience 2.0 offers a new finger-friendly browser, RSS Reader and media player, as well as one-touch access to email, calendar, weather and to-do lists on one screen that changes according to the time and the day, explains HTC.
It weighs 800g and is equipped with a 7-inch touch-sensitive "slide-n-tilt" screen, but is similar in size to two DVD cases stacked on top of each other.
It is bundled with Windows Vista Business edition and a 40GB hard drive.
It will connect to the internet using tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as Bluetooth 2.0 and
Wi-Fi.
The HTC Shift is now available through Telefonica in Spain, Orange in the UK and will soon be available through TIM in Italy and in specialised retailers across Europe for 1199 euros. Phones, Mobile phones, Hardware, HTC, Desktop PCs, Orange, Vista, 3G, MWC2008
