Plantronics BackBeat Fit brings Bluetooth stereo to exercise
Plantronics is best know for Bluetooth headsets, but since the BackBeat Go 2 launched it's been doing well with Bluetooth stereo headsets. Now the Plantronics BackBeat Fit has been unveiled at MWC.
The sports headphones offer a sweat-resistant, highly visibile housing for streaming music on the go via Bluetooth. And thanks to having only one cable connecting the two ears, there's no need to worry about it tugging while running. The buds are also light and offer a secure fit while allowing external environmental sounds to be heard.
The BackBeat Fit also offers more safety to those exercising at night, through reflective markings and a selection of bright colours. An armband is included that holds the headphones as a black case but when turned out to be used as a running phone holder it offers a neon yellow casing.
Plantronics uses what it knows to also offer a built-in microphone so wearers can take and make calls with the headset on. Taking a call while running and listening to music is as easy as touching the earbud, then when the call stops the music beat drops back in.
The Plantronics BackBeat Fit offers up to eight hours on a charge and will come in green and blue for £109 from April.
