UPDATE: Sir Jony Ive has returned to the Executive Profiles page of Apple.com. The senior vice-president of design had gone missing while the page was being updated. Mystery solved.

You can read the original story below...

Apple's senior vice-president of design, Sir Jony Ive, has disappeared from the company's biography page of executives in the US, leading some to speculate on his future with the firm.

His profile is still on Apple.com if you search for it, but he's no longer listed amongst the other executives at the company on the press section's bios page.

Twitter users, such as Oliver Smith, have started to question what has happened to the Brit considering the mysterious absence. "Jony Ive has disappeared from Apple's Executive Profiles page (US only)," he wrote.

Ive was awarded a British knighthood in 2012 for services to design and enterprise. He was promoted in June 2013 to his current position but the website omission could mean that he's about to change role again.

Either that or it's an administrative error. Which is probably more likely, if we're being honest.
