Streaming music application Rdio received a sizable update on iOS on Tuesday, adding playlist editing and reviews, alongside design, user interface and overall performance enhancements.
Playlist editing, a highly requested feature among Rdio users, will allow users to create playlists, add new tracks, remove and rearrange tracks and customise playlist artwork. Previously, Rdio required playlist editing to take place on its web interface.
Also extending past the web interface, the update will allow users to create album and playlist reviews right from within the iOS app. You can also see reviews from critics and other Rdio users.
Rdio says it will extend the features to its Android application soon. The music streaming service is beefing up its service after increased competition in the space, from the likes of Spotify, iTunes Radio, Pandora and others. It just rolled out free web streaming in the US with advertising to keep up with competitors.
Rdio users can grab the update from the iTunes App Store.
