The Google doodle, found above the search bar, today depicts a rainbow coloured Olympics theme ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The colours are in opposition to the Russian anti-gay law.
Under the search bar it quotes the Olympic Charter - also aimed at Russian anti-gay law. It reads: "The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play."
Google will not comment on the page, which is now its front worldwide, simply saying that it speaks for itself.
The law banning "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" in Russia was signed by President Vladimir Putin last July.
