UKTV has signed a deal with Sky to add catch-up TV services for four of its channels - Gold, Dave, Watch and Alibi - to Sky's On Demand platform. Sky+HD customers will now be able to access shows from each of the channels on demand after they have originally aired.
Catch-up content from the four channels was previously available only on Sky Go, but the new deal means that Sky is the first paid TV service to offer the same access on its set-top box too.
"The popularity of our channels has never been higher and we are committed to enabling viewers to watch our award-winning content whenever and wherever they like," said Keith Porritt, UKTV's executive director commercial.
"Our agreement with Sky to provide catch-up services for Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi on Sky Go and now on connected Sky+HD boxes is UKTV’s first pay TV catch up deal. It is an important milestone in our continued drive to put our viewers at the heart of everything we do."
Catch-up TV services from UKTV channels Yesterday and Really have recently been added to YouView boxes, joining the existing service offered by British comedy channel Dave.
