Yes, these SNES and Gameboy cartridges really are soaps, now there's an excuse to wash again

Firebox has the UK exclusive sales rights on a couple of things that, when we saw them, we almost cried with joy. The online gadget retailer is selling soaps in the shape of Super Nintendo and Gameboy cartridges. And they look the real deal.

Each vegan-friendly soap is a life-sized exact replica of several major games available for the Nintendo handheld and US SNES. The UK Super Nintendo cartridges had a more rounded shape to them, like the Super Famicom in Japan, but those for North American consoles had blockier builds - as did the consoles themselves.

They come with an "Energy Citrus" scent and in a plastic replica case or dust cover.

The Gameboy range includes individual soaps for Earthworm Jim, Kirby's Dreamland, Pokemon Blue (which features the original blue colouring of the cartridge itself), Pokemon Red (with red cartridge), Super Mario Land, The Legend of Zelda and, of course, Tetris - our favourite.

You can get the Super Nintendo range in Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Mario Kart and The Legend of Zelda variants.

Each individual cartridge soap costs £6.99 for the Gameboy versions, £12.99 for the Super Nintendo. They are both available from Firebox.com.
