Twitter is rolling out a new look to its website that mirrors the aesthetics currently found on Twitter for iOS and Android.
The company announced the news via a tweet, and even provided a screenshot of the redesign, but there's not much else to go on otherwise. As you can see from the image, Twitter has replaced the dark navigation bar on top with a white one. You can also view your cover photo with follower stats on the left in Timeline view. The Direct Message icon appears to have been changed as well.
Today's refresh is probably only visual. The company hasn't said whether new functionality was included in the update. That said, some users on Twitter have already received the new look and will probably report any other findings soon. Twitter said the refresh would roll out, so you can expect to see all these changes at some point today or this week if you haven't already.
Update: According to The Next Web, you will be able to further personalise your profile with the new redesign. The settings menu, for instance, includes an option to add accent colours.
