Sony has announced the launch of a "Satin Silver" model of the PS3 in Japan.The Satin Silver PlayStation 3 will go on sale on March 6th for 39,800 yen, which is around £190.
The 40GB model offers no extra functionality or features, it's just a cosmetic enhancement.
Sony is also to offer a DualShock 3 controller in a matching Satin Silver finish, but is not bundling it with the console.
This follows the release of the Ceramic White PS3 in Japan last year, that has recently been confirmed for launch in the States.
No other colours other than the standard black have been announced for launch in the UK.
