Fully electric Nissan Black Cab to hit London in 2015, redesigned NV200 petrol model will arrive in 2014

The Hackney Carriage, or London Black Cab, has had a redesign by Nissan. The famous NV200 model has now been upgraded with a full electric version due to arrive in 2015.

But before the electric-NV200 arrives a redesigned NV200, with 1.6-litre petrol engine and automatic gearbox will hit London by December 2014. While the London required 7.6 metre turning circle has been maintained, a lot has changed.

The NV200 will feature a new grille, round headlights, LED lighting for the taxi sign, and completely new front bumper panels. While the NV200 leads the way in 2014 you can expect to see the zero-emission e-NV200 not far behind in 2015.
