Control anything using Bluetooth using new Raspberry Pi like $99 dev kit from CSR

Remember how big a deal Raspberry Pi was at launch? It opened up developer freedom to make devices connected, intelligent and interactive. Now CSR, the guys behind Bluetooth - yup all Bluetooth - has announced a smart dev board that will allow users to make anything Bluetooth smart.

The CSR10X0 Starter Development Kit comes with a full SDK for developing iOS and Android apps and even includes example apps to help get you started. You will need Windows, or a virtual Mac version, to access the SDK for the board itself.

For the meagre $99 (£62) price you’ll be able to turn anything into a device that can be controlled by your phone, tablet or laptop. You’re limited only by your electronics and programming abilities.

While this is exciting in itself CSR is expected to make more announcements in the new year that should make this even more versatile and impactful.
