Cut the Rope 2 coming to iPhone and iPad 19 December, Android early 2014

ZeptoLab has announced the official sequel to its hugely successful Cut the Rope mobile puzzle game. Cut the Rope 2: Om Nom's Unexpected Adventure will be available from 19 December for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch for 69p, with an Android version following early next year.

Players will be able to move and interact with Om Nom for the first time, as new challenges and gameplay elements are introduced across 120 levels. Also, a new supporting cast of Nommies will help the main hero collect candy as he journeys through multiple locations. The game will feature backdrops of a forest, junkyard, city park, sandy dam and underground.

In addition to the new game announcement, ZeptoLab has a treat in store for fans of the original game: Om Nom has gone missing.

His face in the first Cut the Rope has been replaced by an image of mischievous spiders and a question mark icon that leads to an in-game countdown to Cut the Rope 2.

Also, Cut the Rope: Time Travel has received two new eras, the free Wild West and the future, which is available to those who have collected three stars in previous levels or through in-game purchase. And Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift is available on Android for the first time and as a free download for iOS device owners.

Cut the Rope: Experiments will also be enhanced with new game content in December and ZeptoLab will release new game Bamboo Chutes for iOS and Android.
