i-Box Max aptX Bluetooth speaker is here to impress your ears

i-Box has announced a new speaker to add to its wireless range, called the Max.

The i-Box Max is a Bluetooth speaker that uses high-quality aptX coding for superior sound. It’s also working with Bluetooth 4.0, so battery life won’t be drained too badly. On top of the Bluetooth smarts it’s packing NFC so you can easily pair it to your device with a simple tap.

The Max is larger than the i-Box Trax coming in at 29 x 13 x 14cm in size. It’s also eye-catching with that orange trim and largely orange-covered rear with dual cavities for well-balanced sound.

Inside are two 5cm full-range drivers and a dedicated 7.5cm driver for bass power. It’s all running from a Class-D amp and can push out an impressive 30W. The treble and bass can be altered to your tastes or song choice with manual controls on the rear.

The i-Box Max will deliver an impressive 10 hours of wireless playback on a charge, thanks to its lithium rechargeable battery. You can even use that juice to charge up to two mobiles at a time. And thanks to a microphone built-in you can take calls on it without picking up your phone.

The i-Box Max also has a 3.5mm input and output plus RCA-phono inputs. Controls are found on the top in a touch sensitive panel and on the corner with a rolling-wheel for volume.

The Max is available now with a five year warranty for £150.
