Compact man-cam

Kodak has launched the EasyShare Z1012 IS digital camera at the PMA photography event in Las Vegas.

Described as the "must have gadget for men this year" the Z1012 IS features some double digit specs in a slim design.

The new model boasts a 10-megapixel resolution, 12x optical
zoom and optical image stabilisation.

The Z1012 offers best in class click-to-capture speed and auto-focus accuracy (which is where we assume the man-cam angle comes in as these features lend themselves to shooting sports).

Auto shooting will take over if you don't want to be bothered with worrying about settings, although there are advanced options that let you select the programme, aperture and shutter priority as well as a full manual feature.

ISO up to 3200 depending on resolution selected, face detection ability and multimedia slideshows are other features worthy of a mention.

The Z1012 IS is available from May 2008 at £199.99.
