Google's Santa Tracker website is ready to go, alongside Android and Glass apps

'Tis that time of year again: Google's Santa Tracker service has been updated and is now live.

Just a few days after NORAD updated its competing Santa tracker website and free apps, which rely on Microsoft's Bing Maps, Google has decided to relaunch its Santa tracker website - complete with new Android and Google Glass apps.

Google's Santa tracker website, which is fashioned to look like Santa's North Pole village, features animated elves and daily games. The current games allow web visitors to race with reindeer or drop wrapped gifts down a chimney.

The kidding around stops on Christmas Eve (pun intended), because that's when the website enters Command Center mode, enabling you to track and search for Santa using Google Maps. A ticker tool even shows how many gifts have been successfully delivered.

Google has also introduced a new Santa tracking app for Android and Google Glass. The Google Glass app pushes automatic updates about Santa's precise location. NORAD has tracking apps too, but they're just for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
