Sky Store opens its doors to all, anybody can rent movies not just Sky subscribers

Sky has made its Sky Store movie rental service publicly available. Anybody can now sign up for an account and rent movies through a number of different platforms, not just those with a Sky subscription.

The Sky Store offers a wide collection of movies, from latest blockbusters that appear on the service when they are released on DVD or Blu-ray such as Man of Steel, The Hangover Part III, Despicable Me 2 and The Lone Ranger, to classic films including The Godfather, Forrest Gump, Top Gun and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

Latest movies are available to rent for £3.49 each, while the classics range from 99p to £1.99 a film.

The service is accessible through on a PC or Mac, a Now TV box, Roku box or YouView set-top box. A new Sky Store application is available for all of the boxes.
