Nokia has renamed its Nokia Music service. It's now called Nokia MixRadio - and it also has a redesigned Windows Phone app.
As well as the new name, the Nokia Music website (www.music.nokia.com) now redirects to a MixRadio website (www.mixrad.io). The relaunched app is available for download on the Windows Phone Store. Nokia said the app had a new name and new look that makes Nokia's music service "even easier" to use.
Specifically, both the MixRadio app and website have a tighter focus on mixes. This is most evident in the Windows Phone app, which has a new Play Me feature for creating a personalised mix based on your unique music profile.
Beyond mixes, you can store and buy music, as well as listen to tracks offline. Features in the app include Thumbs up / Thumbs down voting and the ability to share mixes.
"Introducing the next generation of Nokia Music, Nokia MixRadio, bringing you free, personalized music with no advertising," explained Nokia.
Currently, the MixRadio is available only to Nokia Lumia devices. Feature availability within the app also varies by country, and that is determined by your SIM.
