Gioteck, the gaming accessories maker, has announced its line of headsets for the PlayStation4. These are some of the first to come to light and will be available from 29 November when the PS4 goes on sale.
The new range of seven headsets offers an alternative to the official kit on offer from Sony. They span price ranges and each offer different chat and audio options.
At the highest price of £70 is the EX-06 headset. This is wireless but also offers phono-out sound connected directly to the TV with a chat cable to the controller and a removable boom microphone. The over-ear stereo cans kick out from 40mm drivers and sit comfortably thanks to a padded adjustable headband. The microphone is noise cancelling. This is the only headset that won’t be out on 29 November but on 7 December.
The EX-05, at £40, is similar to the EX-06 but isn’t wireless nor is the microphone removable. The AX-1, at £30, is wired, offers a 180-degree microphone arm and offer individual game and chat volume control. The HS-1 is a budget £20 wired headsets with microphones. Chat only MH-1 and EX3-R are £20 while the EX-03 is a £15 option.
