The day has arrived when we announce the crème de la crème of tech gadgets of 2013 and bring you the shortlist for the 10th Pocket-lint Gadget Awards.

After much deliberation and debate, the Pocket-lint team has whittled down the hundreds of nominations to just five in eaccategory, which we have listed below along with links to their full review or hands-on articles so you can find out more. To have been in with a chance, all the nominations must have been seen by a member of the Pocket-lint team.

Next comes the voting, which is where you come in. The winner of each of the 12 categories will be decided by the Pocket-lint team and an elite panel of UK judges, along with 100 other judges from technology and gadget websites around the world and you, the public.

Voting will be opened on Pocket-lint shortly, but for now, have a look through the nominations to see which you think deserve to win.

From the top picks of each category there will also be one victorious winner, crowned product of the year. As every product is scored from 0-5, it will be the product with the highest total score that takes the top position.

We will let you know when the voting opens so you can take part, but for now keep an eye on the Pocket-lint Awards 2013 hub for all the latest you need to know about the 10th Pocket-lint awards.

The winners will be announced at an exclusive event in London on 28 November in association with O2 and Hotwire.
