For many people, the next couple of weeks mean only one thing: half term. That means that the little ones are back in full force, without the daily exertions of the national curriculum to tire out their little brains. Some distractions are needed.

We have a good one here, especially for the very young: Your first job will be to get the junior members of your family to write to Santa. Then come back here, fill in all your details and then sit back and wait for a little bit of Christmas magic to really rock their world - a personalised letter from Santa Claus himself.

Each and every letter ordered gives a little bit of cash to a very worthy charity - one that will spend its Christmas trying to make children's lives safer and happier.

And if that's not enough of a reason to shell out a few quid, then just maybe your own kids'  faces when they open those letters form the jolly fat man in the red suit.
