New Google Nexus 10 (2013) gets impressive specs leaked on Google Play

With Google's latest hardware push expected to happen on 1 November it's little surprise that the new Nexus 10 (2013) has leaked, complete with specs, on Google Play. While we expect to see the new Android 4.4 KitKat and a fresh Nexus 5 too, for now it's Nexus 10 specs that have us excited.

An eagled-eyed gadget fan managed to screenshot the Nexus 10 specs on Google Play before it was taken down. The image revealed that we can expect a "10.055-inch diagonal at 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution for 300ppi". Inside we'll get the near customary Snapdragon 800 chipset along with a hefty 3GB of RAM. The camera has had an upgrade too, with 8-megapixel and 2.1-megapixel snappers.

And to keep all that going while on the move? Yup, the battery has grown and is now a huge 9,000mAh. Despite this the overall weight has dropped to 584g and it's thinned down to a phone-like 7.9mm. All that and it's running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. This is really shaping up to be one of the most exciting tablets of the year, even up against the Apple iPad Air.

While these specs sound exciting, and would be needed from Google to take on Apple, it's still a screenshot from a random posting. So while we hope these figures are correct we're not getting too excited just yet.
