While it'll be the big gun prosumers models that will be getting the most attention of the Fujifilm launches today, the company has also introduced a new line-up of lower-end digital compacts.

The J-series digital camera range comprises FinePix J10 and J50.

Housed in a compact body just 19mm thick, the FinePix J10 incorporates an 8.2 megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.5 inch LCD and a 3x Fujinon optical zoom lens.

The FinePix J50, in comparison, offers a 2.7 inch, 230K pixel LCD and a Fujinon 5x optical zoom that provides a 37mm-185mm equivalent focal length range. The FinePix J50 is 23mm thick.

Both models are available in either Matt Black or Brushed Silver.

And they both incorporate a picture stabilisation mode to reduce blurry images that can be caused by camera shake or subject movement especially in low light settings.

In addition, the FinePix J10 has 14 scene modes and the FinePix J50 has 15, while both will capture movies at QVGA quality movie clips at 30fps with sound.

The FinePix J10 and J50 accept xD-Picture cards, Secure Digital and SDHC cards too.

Both models will arrive on our shores in March. Prices have yet to be confirmed.
