BT and Sky have come to an agreement that leaves the users of BT TV as winners all round. From October 26 BT customers will be able to subscribe to Sky Movies and view all there is on offer through their BT TV.
So if you've got a YouView or Vision+ box you'll be able to bolt on the Sky Movies package for all 11 channels crammed full of the latest movie releases. This is special, as Sky Movies generally arrive at least 12 months before any online subscription services. For October that means you can look forward to Argo, Django Unchained, Gangster Squad, Life of Pi and more.
Rob Webster, director of Sky’s Commercial Group, says: "We are pleased to extend the distribution of Sky Movies to BT TV customers. Following the conclusion of commercial negotiations, BT’s customers can now enjoy access to the UK’s most popular subscription movies service. In helping even more UK homes enjoy Sky Movies this agreement also supports our wholesale content business."
We've asked BT about pricing and will update you when we hear back.
