Outlook for Android updated, now able to download all mail and support for aliases

Microsoft has updated its Outlook Android application, adding several new features in the process.

Version 7.8.2.12.49.0430 (no, really) introduces server-side search, the ability to search all mail, regardless of whether it's synced to your device or not. There is also now the ability to sync all items of mail in a mailbox rather than just those from the last month.

The new version adds support for aliases, so you can send mail from an alias straight from the app. And you can now set automatic out of office replies from the phone.

The last highlighted improvement is that you can now change the colour scheme in the app. There are 11 colours to choose from.

Outlook.com for Android is available for free from Google Play. It is compatible with devices loaded with Android 2.2 and above.
