HBO shows now on US Google Play - includes Game of Thrones, True Blood and more

HBO has just announced that the US version of Google Play now offers some of its most-popular programmes.

Those of you who aren't HBO subscribers know how much of a pain it is to get access to the network's walled content. That is, until today. HBO has added seven of its original series to Google's Google Play marketplace. The full collection includes Game of Thrones, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Veep, Girls, The Wire and Newsroom.

The best part: you can download them and own them. Pricing varies from $2 to $3 per episode and $19 to $29 for a full season. That's not a bad price, even for fans who've been pirating for years just to get their weekly HBO fix. Also - many of the shows already have 5-star ratings. Can you tell how excited people are?

Google said it will add more of HBO's series, films and documentaries over the coming months. So far, it looks like only the US has access. We've contacted the companies to find out more firm details on availability, but comment below if you live in the UK and have access.
