Google suprises new Nexus 7 owners with unannounced Android 4.3.1 update
An Android 4.3.1 system update has been rolled out to the latest LTE Nexus 7 devices globally, with little or no fanfare.
The new features haven't been specifically detailed, but it is understood that the update improves performance and stability of the Android operating system. The text that accompanies the update also highlights the addition of restricted profiles to "limit family members' access to apps and content on your tablet or to secure a tablet in a kiosk setting".

Google Keep has been added too, it seems. The app, which is available to download through the Play Store, or as a Chrome extension, is essentially a note-taking tool. You can just quickly jot something down to come back to later and colour code your notes to make them easier to spot.
Android Police reports that the update is available to the LTE edition of the new Nexus 7 over the air. We haven't heard if other Nexus 7 owners are also receiving the update yet.
