EE adds 12 more towns and cities to 4G network, Blackburn, Halifax and more
EE has added 12 more towns to its 4G network in the UK, bringing the network's coverage to a total of 117.
The carrier has announced 4G will now be available in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Beaconsfield, Blackburn, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Chester-le-Street, Fleet, Gerrards Cross, Halifax, Hinckley, Houghton-le-Spring and Reigate from today, as the rollout continues.
The network currently covers around 60 per cent of the UK population, with a target to reach 94 per cent by the end of 2014.
Until recently, EE was the only network able to offer 4G so it had a headstart in building up the number of towns and cities in which its service is available.
