Facebook-owned Instagram has introduced a sizable update to its iOS app, providing a better experience on iOS 7.
The user interface has been updated with a more simple feel, adopting the flat look that many iOS 7 apps now have. For example, as with messaging in iOS 7, profile images have been updated to be circular rather than square. Furthermore, the grid view for profiles has been streamlined for a cleaner look.
The most notable part of the update is that photos and videos in your feed have been expanded to reach both edges of the screen. Instagram says the increased size means the resolution of photos and videos has been increased, meaning you'll see crisper content. We suspect the iPhone 5S' improved camera will also help.
Instagram isn't the only app to have update for iOS 7, as hundreds were released late last week along with the software update. We've provided a convenient round-up so you don't have to do too much digging. Of course, if you're running iOS 7 the updated apps should have downloaded automatically .
Instagram for iOS 4.2 is now available on the App Store for iOS 7 users. According to Apple, it has acquired more than 200 million users in less than a week's time.
