Nokia has officially announced the date when it will host its next launch event and it is in the week Pocket-lint revealed earlier today.
A save the date posting has appeared on Nokia's official Twitter account revealing that it will host an event on 22 October. It doesn't say where yet, but the invitation features skiers on sand dunes suggesting it could be somewhere in the Middle East or UAE. Pocket-lint's own sources previously told us that it definitely wouldn't be in the US as the company wants to try somewhere else after the Lumia 1020 announcement was held in New York.
It is believed that Nokia will use the press gathering to reveal the Nokia Lumia 1520, its first 6-inch "phablet" device, but there are no confirmations on that score as yet - but the words innovation reinvented on the invite certainly go towards confirming that.
The posting does further hint at the fact, however, saying that there will be "more to follow", presumably as Nokia tries to ramp up the media buzz ahead of the launch next month.
Pocket-lint will bring you "more" on the special event as new information becomes available.
