HTC One X is getting an Android 4.2.2 update with Sense 5.5

If you own an HTC One X and were thinking of biting the preverbal bullet to buy a new HTC One, wait. The old One X has life in it yet, according to HTC, which will push out the Android 4.2.2 update along with Sense 5.5. That's the same Sense 5.5 features as the HTC One will get when it's updated to Android 4.3 later this month.

The information was revealed on Vodafone's weekly software update blog post. While the HTC One X might not live on receiving updates for very much longer after this, it's nice to know HTC hasn't abandoned it just yet.

You can expect to get the likes of BlinkFeed, bringing you news on your homescreen, as well as a collection of tweaks and refinements across the device. We've been really impressed with Sense 5 on the HTC One and subsequent launches. You can read about all the differences that it brings in our feature on HTC Sense.
