Ubisoft announces Assassin's Creed Liberation HD and Assassin's Creed Pirates games

Ubisoft says we can look forward to two new Assassin's Creed games. The first, called Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, is a remake of the PS Vita game of the same title. The second is a mobile game called Assassin's Creed Pirates.

Liberation HD has had the original game's makers, Ubisoft Sofia, work on a complete graphical overhaul with remastered music and sound, a revamped game play experience and new missions to add depth to Aveline's story. Certain optional cutscenes have also been forced in to clarify the story. The game will arrive in 2014 as a digital title on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Assassin's Creed Pirates is coming to high end smartphones this autumn. Developed by Ubisoft Paris, this game will pit players against each other in real-time naval battles, hunts for treasure and let players upgrade their ship with better canons, rudders and the like. The storyline, about rising pirate Alonzo Batilla, won't be a part of the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag game. There will be a separate companion app for that game.
