Virgin Media TiVo customers will soon be able to access Netflix on their set-top boxes following a new partnership between the two companies.
The deal sees around 40,000 houses getting access to the Netflix app, allowing them to sign-up or sign-in to Netflix and access all the streaming services content on their TV.
Users will still have to pay for a Netflix subscription.
Those not on the pilot scheme initially will get the new feature later this year after the competition of the pilot scheme, Virgin Media confirms. The company says that it expects Netflix to be available to 1.7 million Virgin Media TiVo homes by the end of this year.
Virgin Media is hoping Netflix shows like House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Arrested Development, Orange is the New Black, and access to Breaking Bad will help lure customers into the on-demand service in the UK.
