WEBSITE OF THE DAY - pediaphon.fernuni-hagen.de

Appalling name. Clever site. Go figure

21 January 2008 0:00 GMT / By Ian Hughes

As Ferris Bueller once said, "Life moves pretty fast".

So fast that you might consider this little recommendation a life-enhancing one. Once you get over the awful, awful name, Pediaphon is actually quite clever.

It allows you to generate an MP3 or podcast from any Wikipedia article you like, meaning you can take the world's most unreliable source of information with you wherever you go.

The robotic voice isn't exactly flawless and doesn't get all the words spot on, but you'll get the general idea.

Might be a good idea for the bods at Wikipedia to work on and add to the their own site.
