IFA 2013: We're live in Berlin and ready for mobile madness

Another year passes and another IFA is upon us. We've just landed in Berlin with our feet down ready to dig into the latest in the world of consumer technology at Internationale Funkausstellung 2013. We've got a full team poised in the German capital to hit the halls of Messe Berlin for press events and the chance to get our greasy paws on new gadgets. What else could we ask for?

This year is packed to the brim. with announcements expected from Samsung, believed to be unveiling its Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch, and Sony which is rumoured to be showing off its Xperia Z1 and attachable smartphone lens.

Before the event, Spotify unveiled its new Connect platform to take on AirPlay. HTC didn't want to get caught up in the event fray either, unveiling its HTC Desire 601, Blue HTC One and HTC One mini, and HTC BoomBass prior to the event. Oh, and don't forget Microsoft acquiring Nokia and the Google naming the next version of Android KitKat - news stories that are sure to crop up at the event.

In typical Pocket-lint fashion, we'll be separating the wheat from the chaff, bringing you glittering galleries of all the most exciting kit on show, dispelling rumours and clarifying the facts. All the big names in tech are here in Berlin, apart from a little company from Cupertino which has its own event planned in September, looking to dazzle and amaze with its latest products.

The news will be rolling out in an aggressive style, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled on our IFA 2013 hub for the latest action from the show floor.
