IFA, the Berlin tech trade show, starts at the back end of this week. Acer, ever eager, has already announced its new 10-inch Iconia A3 tablet.
The Android 4.2 flavoured slate will come sporting a 1280x800 (151ppi) display, which is nothing to write home about, but the Dolby Digital Plus speakers should impress.
The 0.39-inch thick tablet squeezes in a quad-core 1.2GHz A7 processor, 5-megapixel camera, a micro HDMI port and microSD card reader.
A rather interesting extra that makes this slate special is Intellispin. This means the tablet knows which way up you're viewing it, even when it's laid flat. We'll be eager to put this to the test when we get some hands-on time at IFA later in the week.
Expect to pay €250 (£212) for the Wi-Fi only version and €300 for the 3G model - both of which will be released this October.
Check back throughout the week for full IFA coverage, live from Berlin where we'll be getting hands-on time with the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Gear and Note 3, Sony's Xperia Z1, LG's 55-inch Gallery OLED, and more.
