Griffin Vehicle Dock, PowerDock and more land for Droids - arriving for Moto X next month
As part of its partnership with the Motorola M4DE Program, Griffin Technology on Wednesday introduced a new collection of docks and cases for Moto X, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra.
First up, there's a new $39.99 Vehicle Dock for Moto X, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra that serves as a window and dash mount and auto-enables Car Mode in each smartphone. The dock also boasts a micro-USB connector, rubber grip pads and silicone suction cup. Vehicle Dock is out now but won't be available for Moto X until late September.
Griffin also has a PowerDock for $39.99 that fits the Moto X, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra. It supports Android Daydream and hands-free, touchless control functions like the ability to set reminders. Griffin said the dock is "conveniently compatible with most cases", and it comes with an AC power supply and detachable micro-USB cable. PowerDock is out now but won't be available for Moto X until late September.
As for cases, Griffin’s Midtown series now fits the Moto X. Specifically, the $44.99 Midtown Wallet features a bifold wallet design that opens like a book to reveal the Moto X touchscreen, and the $39.99 Midtown Flip boasts handy pockets on the inside flip-cover. Both cases will ship in mid-September.
There's also Reveal case for Moto X, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra. Griffin said it was only a millimetre in thickness and boasts a "sleek, ultra-thin case design with slim rubber edges." The Reveal case is now available in a variety of colours for $24.99.
