Two new 5 megapixel models from Kodak

Kodak has launched two new EasyShare models as part of its new V-range; the V550 and V530.

The two models each smaller than a deck of playing cards will offer the ability to video footage into stop-action still pictures. Users will also be able to record up to 80 continuous minutes memory permitting.

The Kodak EasyShare V550 digital will offer 5 megapixels, a Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon 3X optical zoom lens, nineteen scene modes such as party, sunset, beach and a 2.5in 230k LCD screen with a 170 degree viewing angle

The EasyShare V530 will come in a variety of colours; Red Shimmer, Absolute Pink, Midnight Black and Silver Essence also feature a 5 megapixel and a pro-level 3X optical zoom lens just like the V550. It however will differ with a 2in LCD screen.

The EasyShare V550 camera will be available from June 2005 for £299.99 while the EasyShare V530 camera is available exclusively from Dixons from July 2005 for £249.99.
